DETAILED ITINERARY

Day – 01: Arrival Delhi
At the airport, you will see that Tree Trunk Travel representative is waiting to give a warm welcome and later he will escort you to your hotel, previously reserved. After upon arrival in Hotel discuss your tour itinerary with our representative in Lobby and after that our representative will help you to check into formalities.

Day – 02: Delhi
Morning we will start our day to explore the Delhi. Delhi is the largest metropolis by area and the second – largest metropolis by population in India. Delhi is divided in two parts (like other city in India) – Old Delhi and New Delhi. We will start our tour from Old Delhi. A sight-seeing tour of Old Delhi would include visiting the Raj Ghat - the memorial site where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated; Jama Masjid - the largest mosque in India.
NEW DELHI - An extensive sight-seeing tour of New Delhi would include a visit to the Humayun's Tomb, the Qutub Minar, a drive along the ceremonial avenue - Rajpath, past the imposing India Gate, Parliament House, and the President's Residence and would end with a drive through the Diplomatic Enclave.
Highlight of the Tour: The Highlight of the tour is the rickshaw ride in Old Delhi. We will pass through the Chandni Chowk by the rickshaw. The rickshaw pullers here take you on a ride through various routes. The rickshaw ride give you a chance to glance at the colourful street of the place. Chandni Chowk is very colourful & you will find the hustle and bustle market.

Day – 03: Delhi - Varanasi (By Flight)
Morning transfer you to at the airport to board the flight to Varanasi.

After rest & relax we will start our tour of Varanasi. Varanasi is the oldest city of the world. Varanasi is more than 3000 years old and is famous as the city of temples. In Varanasi, there are temples at every few paces. Looking at the number of temples in Varanasi, it is hard to believe that a large number of them were demolished during the medieval times.
We will start our tour to seeing the BHU University. Later we will visit the Bharat Mata Temple. Durga Temple and the several Ghats of Varanasi.
Highlight of the tour: In this evening we will enjoy the sunset boat ride and evening aarti at Dashashwamedh Ghat. A group of priests daily in the evening at this ghat perform "Agni Pooja" (Worship to Fire) wherein a dedication is made to Lord Shiva, River Ganga (the Ganges), Surya (Sun), Agni (Fire), and the whole universe. Special aartis are held on Tuesdays and on religious festivals.

Day -04: Varanasi
Morning we will start our day with sunrise boat ride at river Ganges. Later come back to the hotel for the breakfast. After the breakfast we will explore the Old Varanasi and take the real taste of Old city.
Later we will visit the Sarnath Temple. Later excursion to Sarnath, 10kms & East of Varanasi, is the place where Buddha chose to deliver his first sermon. The celebrated Mantra, 'Buddham Sharanam Gachhami', owes its origin to Sarnath. On the day before his death Buddha included Sarnath along with Lumbini, Bodh Gaya and Kushinagar as the four places he thought to be sacred to his followers. It makes Sarnath one of the most venerated Buddhist places.

Day – 04: Varanasi - Bodhgaya
After the breakfast drive to Bodhgaya.
Upon arrival check into hotel. The life of Gautam Buddha, the founder of Buddhism, is associated with the small town of Bodhgaya. It is one of the four holiest cities of Buddhist faith. The Mahabodhi temple is the main attraction of this town and is located near the spot where Lord Buddha attained spiritual enlightenment. Bodhgaya is not only an important Buddhist pilgrim center, but it is also an important center for the study of Buddhism.
Later we will visit the Mahabodhi Temple, Sujata Village.

Day – 05: Bodhgaya - Rajgir
After the breakfast drive to Rajgir en route visit the Nalanda. Later continue drive to Rajgir.
The name Rajgir might come from Sanskrit Rājagṛha 'house of the king' or "royal house", or the word rajgir might have its origian in its plain literal meaning, "royal mountain". It was the ancient capital city of the Magadha kings until the 5th century BC when Ajatashatru moved the capital to Pataliputra. In those days, it was called Rajgrih, which translates as 'the home of Royalty'.

Day – 06: Rajgir - Vaishali - Kushinagar
Morning drive to Kushinagar en route visit to Vaishali. Later continue drive to Kushinagar.
Upon arrival check into Hotel.

Day – 07: Kushinagar - Sravasti
After the breakfast visit the Mahaparinirvana Tepmle & stupas. Later drive to Lumbini. Lumbini is the birth place of the Buddha, was located in 1890 after being untraced for 1500 years.
Upon arrival in Lumbini check into Hotel. Late guided city tour of Lumbini.

Day – 08: Sravasti - Lucknow (By drive) and Lucknow – Delhi (by flight or evening Shatabdi train)
After breakfast proceed for sightseeing of Sravasti. Sravasti-the capital of the ancient kingdom of Kosala, has the honour for sheltering Buddha for 24 rainy seasons in the Jetvana Gardens.
Later transfer to train station to board the flight/train to Lucknow
Meeting and assistance upon arrival in Delhi & transfer to the Hotel
